The Deadpool movie seems to be stuck in limbo, and fans of character are getting tired of waiting. Now we first got our taste of the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and fans were pretty displeased. Not so much at Ryan Reynolds’ portrayal of the character, but just how they used the character in the film. The director of Deadpool Tim Miller finally shined some light on the project, telling us that it is getting closer to that elusive greenlight.
Deadpool has seen numerous script revisions, and Miller believes they have an awesome script now. He assures us that him, his crew, and Reynolds are ready to get this movie made. Reynolds was asked about the movie in a recent interview, and he stated that he has a love-hate relationship with it. He really wants to play the character, but with all the obstacles that are plaguing the film’s production, he is hating the uncertainty. I think some that stems from Reynolds not having much luck when it comes to comic book like characters, with Green Lantern being a failure, as well as the recent bomb R.I.P.D. He also mentioned how having the film be R-rated might be a little risky, but there is no way they can avoid that with this character. If they water him down, I assure you it will be a flop. Let me know what you think about this.
